Circle of Darkness 2: Darkness Reigns was also Jason Granum's work. It was still based on SMAUG code, however, with heavy modifications. This merges the great battles engine of SMAUG with Jason's own Spells and Skills system. Although not as popular as the original CoD, this still proves to be one of IRC's favorite pasttime. This IRC-based MUD lasted for another great half year before Jason decided to close the game at its prime.
